Pink Shirt Day is an important event for our school community! It's a day when we stand together to take a strong stance against bullying. The tradition started with two students who decided to wear pink to school in support of another student who was being bullied for wearing a pink shirt. Their simple act of kindness inspired others, and now, people all over the world wear pink to show their commitment to creating a safe and inclusive environment.
By wearing a pink (or red shirt), we are showing our support for kindness, empathy, and respect. It's a visual reminder that we are all part of a team and that we will not tolerate bullying in any form. Pink Shirt Day is a wonderful opportunity to talk with our students about the importance of using kind words, including others, and standing up for what's right.
