❄️ Bundle Up! Preparing for Colder Weather
With the change in season upon us, we are seeing starting to see colder temperatures, rain, and snow. We want to ensure all our students remain warm, comfortable, and healthy while at school and during outdoor activities.
Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather each day:
- Warm Layers: Encourage students to wear coats, hats, gloves/mittens, and scarves, boots and snow pants or rain gear. Especially on days when rain or snow is forecasted, as students will continue to have outdoor recess.
Important Recommendation: Send a Change of Clothes
We strongly recommend sending a labelled bag containing a full change of clothing (including socks, pants, and shirt underpants) for your child.
This is particularly important for our younger students or for any student who may accidentally get wet during recess, whether from rain, snow, or puddles. Having a dry change of clothes available helps them quickly get comfortable and avoid catching a chill and us having to call home for a change.
Thank you for helping us keep your children warm and safe this winter!
